Project Thumbies

Loss of a loved one by suicide is a tragic event and has a profound effect on those left behind. The stress, the unknowns, and the whys that suicide leave in its wake seem insurmountable for adults, let alone children. Children are especially vulnerable to the stress and confusion that suicide leaves behind.

One of the goals of The JBR Foundation is simple - to help bring a little comfort to the children whose lives have been so profoundly affected by suicide loss.

Thumbies is the original fingerprint keepsake provider. The JBR Foundation has partnered directly with the Thumbies company and with select funeral homes in Southeast Iowa and West Central Illinois to provide a piece of memorial jewelry to the children that have suffered a loss of a sibling or a parent to death by suicide.
